GENERAL INFORMATION

Material compaction in the lower conical zones of silos and hoppers where powder raw materials are stored is one of the biggest problems causing production halts, time, and cost losses in industrial plants. Flow blockages such as bridging or ratholing formed by materials with low fluidity directly undermine process efficiency.

Puls Airator is a double-acting flow aid system that offers aerodynamic and mechanical solutions in a single body to eliminate these chronic problems in silo discharge.

Double-Acting Operating Principle

Puls Airator works with a two-way mechanism to ensure the uninterrupted flow of bulk materials:

Air Cushion Effect (Fluidization): When compressed air is supplied to the device, the specially designed mushroom-headed silicone disc flexes. The compressed air spreads circularly and homogeneously along the inner wall of the silo or hopper. This directed airflow minimizes friction between the silo wall and the powder material, creating an air cushion and fluidizing the material.

Mechanical Vibration Effect: The kinetic energy generated by the airflow causes the elastic silicone disc to vibrate at a high frequency on the silo wall. This continuous vibration resolves blockages by loosening powder particles that attempt to adhere to the wall or stick to each other to create bridging, thereby initiating natural flow via gravity.

100% Safe Non-Return Design (Check Valve Feature)

Puls Airator features a non-return (back-flow prevention) design to protect operational safety and line cleanliness.

When the air supplied to the system is cut off, the mushroom head fits perfectly and adheres tightly to the inner wall of the silo due to its high elasticity. This mechanical closure strictly prevents the powder raw materials inside the silo from escaping (back-flowing) into the air piping or pneumatic lines. Thus, clogging of the installation is prevented, and system maintenance costs remain at a minimum.

ADVANTAGES AND USAGE AREAS

Silo-Friendly and Wear-Free Solution: It does not strike silo walls with harsh physical impacts like pneumatic hammers or industrial vibrators. It does not cause weld cracks, metal fatigue, or silo deformations. It protects the lifespan of the structure by only moving the bulk material.

Quick and Easy Assembly (External Mounting Kit): It can be easily mounted through a single hole drilled from the outer wall without the need to enter the silo. Thanks to the optional external mounting kit, it minimizes downtime and simplifies assembly and maintenance processes.

Minimum Air Consumption and High Savings: It does not require a continuous air supply. It can be programmed to operate with intermittent (pulse) air blasting only during material discharge. In this way, it provides high savings in in-plant compressed air consumption and energy costs.
