VALSCELL is a specialized sensor developed to measure the product amount in the material hoppers (bunkers) of roller mills on a weight basis. It converts the mechanical force applied to it directly into an industrial-grade voltage (0-10V) without the need for an external converter, transferring the data straight to the automation system.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Roller mills primarily consist of two hard cast steel rollers counter-rotating against each other. The material passed between these rollers (especially wheat and similar grains) is crushed by being compressed and sheared. For the uninterrupted operation of the system during wheat milling processes, the amount of product in the material hopper must be monitored instantaneously.

VALSCELL is the most stable solution used for detecting the product level in the material hopper. Unlike other traditional level measurement methods, because it directly measures physical force (weight), it remains completely unaffected by disruptive external factors such as ambient dust, humidity, or static electricity. Thanks to its self-integrated transmitter structure, it eliminates the need for an extra signal converter card and can be connected directly to a PLC or control system.
